Eligibility: Enroll in Grade 9 and complete the full four-year program, and follow the school-list strategy agreed with Crimson Education (including which schools to apply to early vs. regular). Students must also meet our minimum academic bar (achieving at least 25th percentile SAT or ACT superscore for the majority of elite schools).
Students learn core subjects through Alpha School’s Timeback software, an AI-accelerated, mastery-based approach where each student moves at their own pace. There are no lectures and no busywork. Most students finish by 11:00AM, which frees up the rest of the day to build their college profile with Crimson.
Yes. Students attend an Alpha High School campus in person. In the afternoons, they work with Crimson’s admissions specialists, mostly virtually (while still on the high school campus), with in-person components where needed, such as wet lab research at a Crimson partner university.

Each student is assigned an Admissions Strategist, who matches them with the right specialists at each stage. For example, once your child and their Strategist settle on a research topic, we pair them with a Research Mentor in that field. The same applies to their capstone project, honors and awards, essays, and work with Former Admissions Officers.
Yes. We accept students into Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. The money-back guarantee applies only to students who enroll at the start of Grade 9.

Tuition is $150,000 per year. That covers both a full private high school education and comprehensive college admissions support, including profile building and application support. It’s also the only private school program that refunds your tuition if your child isn’t admitted to an elite college.
For students who enroll at the start of Grade 9, if they are not admitted to an elite college, we refund the full tuition you paid. Some exceptions apply, and the full terms are set out in the enrollment agreement.
